This guide will show you how to root the Xiaomi Redmi Note phone.

What do you need to root the Xiaomi Redmi Note?
In order to root the Xiaomi Redmi Note you will need the following:
Step 1 – Download and copy the root file to the Xiomi Redmi Note
Rooting the phone is done using Framaroot which you can get from here. Save the file to your computer in an easy to find location on your PC
You now need to copy the root zip file on to the phone which is done as follows:

Copy the file you downloaded above onto the phone in an easy to find location such as the downloads folder.
Step 2 – Root the Xiaomi Redmi Note
You now need to access the update application on the device.
To do this go to Settings > General Settings and scroll to About Phone.
Tap System Updates and, on the menu that appears, tap Select Update Package.
Choose to install an update package from the SD card and point to the file downloaded in step 1 which you should have copied to the device.
Let the update be applied and then restart the device.
When the device has restarted go to the app drawer and tap Security and then tap Permission.
On the menu that appears make sure the Root Permission option is enabled.
