Important things to know before Rooting
Why Root
If you want access to all of KnowIT's more advanced mobile features, you'll need a rooted Android to install it on. Root-only features include monitoring Instant Messenger activity, VOIP call logs, E-Mail and more. See a complete list here.
Important to Know Before Rooting
- Always fully back up all device data before rooting
- Not all devices can be rooted
- Not all rooted devices can run all KnowIT Android advanced features
- Rooting will void the device warranty, though some devices can be unrooted
- DigitalEndpoint cannot be responsible for any damage or mishap due to an incorrect or failed rooting process
How to Root
We cannot directly support the rooting process as it requires 3rd party utilities in a multitude of operating environments between various devices. Though we can help you to locate a rooting guide that may work for you.
- First, try the XDA Developers root directory at https://www.xda-developers.com/root/. Scroll the page to look for your model. If you don't see it listed, try entering your model in the search bar at the top right of the XDA page.
- If you couldn't find a rooting guide at the XDA site, try googling "root XXX" where XXX equals your device model name.
If you cannot locate a working root guide for your model either at the XDA-Developers site or via Google search, then it may be that there is no rooting method available for that specific model.
